To lead and supervise Key Account Executives in achieving sustainable sales growth across Modern Trade channels through strategic customer management, data-driven decision-making, and execution excellence.
The Sales Manager will oversee POS analysis, promotional strategy, TTA & margin structure evaluation, planogram alignment, and key customer negotiations while ensuring disciplined reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
【Key Responsibilities】
1. Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Supervise, coach, and develop Key Account Executives to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Set performance KPIs, review results, and ensure continuous improvement in store execution and data analytics.
- Conduct regular business reviews and provide structured feedback to team members.
- Approve customer proposals and budgets prepared by Account Executives.
2. Key Account Management
- Lead negotiations with major MT customers, including buying terms, visibility programs, RTV policies, promotions, and rebate structures.
- Ensure full understanding and optimization of TTA structures (GP, rebate, DC, hidden/non-hidden costs) to secure profitable growth.
- Expand distribution coverage and visibility across national and regional accounts.
- Strengthen long-term relationships with category managers and buyers.
3. POS Data Insight & Business Analytics (Manager Level)
- Review and validate POS analysis conducted by Account Executives, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
- Translate sell-out trends into strategies for demand planning, new listings, and slow-moving SKU prevention.
- Approve forecasts, volume assumptions, and countermeasures to protect target achievement.
- Conduct quarterly trend assessments comparing YOY, budget, and competitive benchmark data.
4. Planogram Strategy & In-store Execution Oversight
- Evaluate and standardize planograms to optimize visibility and brand consistency across accounts.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Merchandising, and field teams to ensure compliance and execution.
- Monitor competitor activities, consumer behavior, and market shifts via store visits & reporting from Account Executives.
5. Cross-Functional & Commercial Alignment
- Work closely with Marketing, Inventory, Management Support, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure efficient promotions, stock availability, and product launches.
- Lead alignment meetings with internal stakeholders to secure shared objectives and execution timelines.
- Support new product launches with commercial strategies and rollout plans.
6. Reporting & Management Communication
- Consolidate weekly/monthly reports from Account Executives and present to management with high-level insight and strategic recommendations.
- Report key KPIs including: Sales vs target, Promotion ROI & trade spend performance, POS trend & category insights, issues, risks, countermeasures & execution schedule.
【Qualifications】
- Experience: 5–8 years in Key Account or MT sales
- At least 2 years supervisory experience
- Skills: Strong negotiation, data analysis, leadership, communication, budget control
- Tools: Proficient in POS data systems, Excel/Sheets, reporting dashboards
- Personality: Result-driven, detail-oriented, strategic, disciplined, collaborative
