TCK Workshop is headquartered in Tokyo and provides online tutoring services for children living overseas and returnee students around the world. Company Mission
We provide specialized online tutoring services for TCKs (Third Culture Kids), aiming to turn their overseas experience into a lifelong asset. Over 2,000 families in more than 45 countries have used our services. We offer academic support and educational consultation for children living abroad, returning home, or relocating—regardless of their location or timing.
Our goal is to be recognized as the go-to for both returnee education and international education.
Job opening : Generalist Staff (Bilingual Japanese-English tutor) – Work in Japan
Generalist role involving both teaching and supporting one of the following departments:
-Sales (consultation-based proposals)
-Marketing (managing website, social media, event promotion)
-HR (recruiting and training support)
-Customer Success (client support and operations improvement)

Employment Information
Employment Type: Full-time
Probation Period: 3 months (no change in salary or conditions)
Main Responsibilities:
1.Teaching (mandatory for all staff): One-on-one tutoring for elementary to high school students (domestic & overseas) in your area of expertise (English, Japanese, Math, etc.)
2.Educational Consultation: Communicate with parents to provide academic and career guidance using your knowledge of international education systems.
3.Additional Business Roles (based on suitability):
Sales: Conduct education-based consultations to build trust and propose services.
Web Marketing: Manage website/SNS, plan events, and improve branding.
Back Office: Handle accounting, HR admin, and support company operations.
Requirements
• No specific qualifications required.
• Must be able to teach at least one subject.
• For Japanese/English language : JLPT N1 and/or TOEIC 900 / TOEFL100+ or higher
• For other subjects: No certification needed—must be strong in the subject taught.

Compensation & Benefits
• Monthly Salary: ¥280,000
• Annual Salary: ¥3,360,000 (paid in 12 equal installments)
• Includes 41 hours of fixed overtime:
• Base: ¥215,722
• Fixed Overtime: ¥64,278
• Additional pay for overtime beyond 41 hours provided
• Bonus: Special bonuses based on company performance (awarded every year)
• Pay Raise: Twice a year
• Allowances: Transportation, travel expenses
Work Location
• Primary Office : Jiyugaoka Office , 2-17-11 Marumoto Building 201, Jiyugaoka, Meguro-ku, Tokyo 152-0035
• Transfer Possibility : Possible location: 3375 Takaku-Otsu, Nasu-machi, Nasu-gun, Tochigi 325-0398
Working Conditions
• Work Hours: 8-hour workday (flexible schedules based on duties): e.g., 9:00–17:00, 11:00–19:00, 14:00–22:00, etc.
Schedule varies depending on responsibilities
• Break Time: 60 minutes (e.g., 12:00–13:00; not fixed)
• Overtime: None in principle, but may occur based on workload (legally compliant)
• Smoking Policy: No smoking on premises, indoors, or in company vehicles
